Having just returned from Canada (quite far north I must add), I can assure you that not all Canadians are Eskimos, but all Eskimos are Canadian.
"Eskimo," I believe, is actually a derrogatory term given to the Inuit by a nearby cultural group. I think the literal translation was something like "dog-eater."

Are you serious? Canadians on the whole live just like Americans (I mean inhabitants of the US) There are some eskimos (you should call them Inuit these days) and a few of them still live at least partially by catching fish, whales etc. Other Canadians are Amerindians and some of then lead lives involving hunting etc.

Something like 85% of Canadians live within 3 hours of the American border. They live like Americans (but with more hockey, better breakfast cereal, and affordable health care).
Eskimos actually are from Alaska. Inuit live in northern Canada. They are cut off from the rest of Canada for the winter, but during summer one can fly or travel by water up north. They have electricity and indoor plumbing, don't worry about that! The biggest difference is diet. They eat a LOT of meat and less vegatables. They will hunt seals in the winter for food. But it's not like they are in the stone age!

They are not called Eskimos, they are called Inuits. Pick up a book once in a while,maybe you'll learn a thing or two.

Even people who live in the North Pole or South Pole live like you and me.....They have normal houses, enjoy the Sun, but they are a little more cold because of the below zero temperatures.
The Inuit are the only ones who makes igloos (Ice cube houses)
