I've read that his magic is made for television. Has anyone here ever witnessed any of his "amazing" tricks live? I learned about the beneducci levitation that he does, and I've completely astonished some people by doing it. Some have seen how I was doing it though, because I'm not a professional.

What I dislike about David Blaine is that he does his bit for his street audience, and the producers tell them beforehand that they will use shots of people with the best reactions - thus making sure that everyone reacts like he really did something great. He then goes back into the studio to film his real levitation where he is hauled up by a crane.
Illusion, misdirection, and deception are staples of magic but this is just out and out hackery.

Whats up with David Blaine??? NOT HIS I.Q. The man is a moron... and we are encouraging him... what does that say about society... Personaly he has or had a show called drowned alive recently and well the title show how small his brain really is and why he was able to stay underwater for the 6 minutes.or what ever length of time it was....(Small brain=Little air needed to survive.) and the title of the show... Drowned Alive-- either you are Drowned or your Alive... Holding your breath hardly counts as impressive and it doesn't rate primetime airing on TV... I have to say it would if he did Drown though... LOL
