Your petition is not correct. Pluto is not an asteroid, it is now a dwarf planet. Furthermore, NASA has little say in the matter. The resolution was passed by the International Astronomical Union and bodies such as the American Astronomical Association generally concede to their decisions in terms of classification and naming conventions.
