my dad paints on the side. no they can not sleep in there. let it air out for at least 2 days. humidity and rain slow down drying time.

Not too sure if the smell is harmful if its a water based acrylic/latex paint, but I would wait till the next day after airing it out, you just never know! If oil based, definitely not!!!!

As long as you're using a latex paint and painted it earlier in the day, it would be fine to sleep in the room.

it is safe for them to sleep in the room but you might want to wait long enough to be sure the paint is completely dry.

You can buy oderless paint. I heard a bowl or water and vinegar helps clear the smell up quicker.

i get sick from paint and it usually lasts for a couple three days so i wouldn't let them sleep in the smell. who knows what could happen long term.

i would say 24hrs. keep the windows open. i don't think its harmful. but call your doc. and find out for sure.
