Anti-America, is it a bad thing?

Question

The actions and ideas of a few people in the White House has put worldwide anti-american feelings at an all time high.

Heavy internal political propoganda has distorted the american publics basic human morals and made them back a government that is the most distructive force on the planet right now. This has further isolated America and only increased anti-american feelings.

I think this anti-american trend is only increasing the distance between america and the rest of the world which can only be a bad thing.

Any thoughts?

If people would read my post again they would see that I think ANTI AMERICAN FEELINGS ARE A BAD THING. Funnily enough I am not anti-american because of this, so dont tell me I am.

My comments were drawn from my own experience of living on 4 different continents in the past 10 years.

I think all hate is negative and detrimental to society.

Don't know where your coming from with your anti-american propaganda, my first thought is that you yourself must be anti-american.

Don't know anyone against America except the Muslim countries of the world.

The German people once attempted to take over the world and hate being reminded of it. France has it's own problems with immigration. They dislike the Brits too, we don't care, why should you. We continue to put a lot of money into the European Community and get blessed little back. France was in the middle east for a long time, you can see their influence still today.

Why would you really care what anyone thinks.

I think the media that keeps saying that "anti-american" sentiments are at an "all time high" need to go outside the US every now and then and actually talk to someone that does not live in the US.

For the most part, most members of other nations don't care about the US any more than we do them (although they are more likely to find the US on a map than the US citizens are to find any other nation on a map.) When the US does do something newsworthy or that impacts them directly, they react with about the same level of interest that you would find in a US mall over a Timorian civil war or Rwandan genocide. (Again, other nations citizen's might be able to find Timor and Rwanda on a map while I doubt US adults could tell you which hemisphere they are in).

We live in an international community, but most US citizens live in very isolated groups and never see any other opinion or perspective but those that reflect their own. It is depressing to see that our media do the same.

When I lived overseas, the biggest item of US news that stuck in the news for any length of time was Clinton's improprieties as President and that was only because they thought it was hysterical.

It's not a good thing to have, as we can only see what they're capable of, and since everyone wants "world peace", this is making this even less possible. The question is, why do lots of people hate America? Is it because they are in the wrong, do we use America as a scapegoat for all of the bad we have, or are we all too ignorant to think any different?

This anti-america feeling is not caused by a few people in the white house as you say but by misinformed "preachers" like you and the myths, untruths, and misinformation you spew out as if it is fact. We are AT WAR AND OUR VERY SURVIVAL DEPENDS ON WINNING THIS WAR!!!!! This country needs the support of ALL, no matter how dimwitted and glassy eyed they are. Any thoughts?

Apparently you don't hear very well. Turn on any newscast and LISTEN to the Leader of IRAN or the Leader of Hezbollah, or Hammas. These people are talking of destroying Israel, declaring WAR on the US. I HONESTLY don't give a Care what the world thinks AMERICA has to STAND up to these Jerks. If the USA cut of all foreign aid, it wouldnt really be that much, especially in the long run, as eventually there would probably be some huge war against America, who would lose, and then the money it has would be distributed more equally.

Of course that won't happen though as the USA won't follow isolationism any more.
