Their smile. I've met zillions of people I would never have given a second thought to- until they suddenly smiled & caught my attention. It's a neat thing, really. Maybe the quality of people's faces are merely "frames" around which a "smile" is the true picture of who they really are... Maybe that's what beauty in a person REALLY is...- in their smile...

I'd say, the nose breaks and the eyes make. If Angelina Jolie had a weird nose, she wouldn't be on People magazine's 100 most beautiful people, but it's not her nose that makes her beautiful - it's her eyes.
It goes the other way as well - if Angelina had the same nose she has now, but her eyes weren't spectacular, she wouldn't be considered beautiful.
But then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I know a lot of people who think that Angelina's face is too boxy and she's too muscular and evil and masculine, but personally, I think she's the epitome of beauty. So, as with almost everything else in this world, what makes or breaks a person is pretty much relative.

A great smile can make up for a while lot of other faults. Straight white teeth look amazing on anyone, no matter how fugly they are.
While the nose is at the center of the face, you never hear anyone say "What a great nose she has!" It's eyes or smile that people complement on.

I think the eyes. I have seen some really odd-looking (okay, technically ugly) people with stunning eyes, and to me that makes them attractive.
However, I have seen some conventionally very good-looking people with mean, piggy little eyes, or a stupid vapid look in them, and to me that's a total deal-breaker and a major, major turn-off.
But I agree with you about the smile as well. My husband would agree with yours about the nose - he is OBSESSED with the size and shape of people's noses! He's always telling me that so-and-so has an enormous nose, and I havent even noticed.

I agree with your husband. A nose is at the center of the face. Therefore would generate the most attention.

Eyes. There has to be spirit and life in the eyes. That makes anyone attractive. A good nose doesn't hurt either.

I agree with you....I nice smile and teeth are pretty important. If they have a nice nose and an ugly smile and bad teeth they are still not as appealing.

I agree with both you and your hubby but overall what catches my attention first would be the complexion and eyes, eyes tell you alot about a person even before he/she opens their mouth to speak after all the eyes are the windows to the soul.
