Florida its warmer. Chicago's weather is terrible. It's the only place I know where it can be -5 one day and in the 60s the next.

I would say, if I had a choice between the two, I would want to live in Illinois because Florida might be a nice vacation spot, but there are more hurricanes and natural disaster in Florida, compared to where I live in Illinois.

Illinois. I'm from Indiana, now live in Florida and it sucks. The weather is unbearable. From May to November it is so hot and humid. There is only one season here--dead of August. Yes, it gets COLD up north but but it is easier to warm up than cool off. In Florida, unless you live on the coast, there is no breeze. You get in the shade and it is STILL hot. It does not cool down at night. It nevers ends!! I cannot wait until next May when I get to move back up north!!

Illinois,We got Lake Michigan that has yet to produce a hurricane. I enjoy the four seasons. People are nicer. More centrally located. Not as many annoying tourists. No lizards and fish that eats people.

If you like bugs, gators, trailers, hurricanes, annoying people, extreme heat and humidity, plus are ready to retire to sand and fixed elections....guess what?
The other place has these things too but lacks hurricanes and gators. It does however have tornadoes but only 4 months of heat & humidity. It makes that up with snow, ice and snow for 3 months. The elections are as frustrating.
