i wouldnt do anything without speaking to a lawyer about something like that first they can give you the best LEGAL answer to that question, most lawyers will answer your question over the phone for free

You could put a lien on something that he owns, but you will only get your money if he is trying to sell it. He will have to get the lien released if he sells it.
