no. i have 2500 text messages and free "IN" text messages. if they are "IN" text messages they do not count in your 500.

Trust me! :)

One thing I would certainly do...Is verify that I indeed made all of them....I still am at odds with Verizon Wireless......I did not have itemized billing a few years ago when I used them....after I got a high bill one month...I realized that they had been overbilling me for several months....about 8 to be exact. When i tried to " Honestly " resolve the problem with them...by requesting copies of my previous itemized bills....THEY ABSOLUTELY REFUSED....claiming that " BY LAW "...they only had to go back 3 months. And it didn't matter that I had been a faithful customer of theirs for 4 years and 10 months.....They flat didn't care to resolve the matter in an honest manner. Basically I told them where to stick the money they said I owed them until they could prove to me that I actually owed it. I knew I didn't but couldn't prove it....So I am still dealing with them. MY advice....make certain you have Itemized billing with any cell phone carrier. My current carrier offers it free of charge....Verizon charged an extra $5. a month at that time....It would have been money well spent if I had known they were crooks. Best of Luck to you....oh and if you use alot of Text messageing...you probably have an option to pay for unlimited text messageing. Good Luck! Oh and if someone Votes me a Thumbs Down for being an honest person and trying to keep someone else from getting ripped off....well I guess you must have never been taken for about $450...that you didn't incure. Best of Luck to all of you.. who really do use this site for good input.

Most of the time the amount of text messages you have in your plan account for the total of those received and sent.

yes both sent and received text messages count toward the total on your plan.
