what is citric acid exactly i mean i saw that citric acid is in flavored water and i also saw it in some of my face wash products and cremes so waht is citric acid excatly and is it good for ur skin since a lot of face product contain citric acid

Citric acid is vitamin C. It's an antioxidant, it improves your immune system, and it's good for you in normal doses. But it does nothing when applied topically (e.g. in a cream).

Outside of being a flavoring, citric acid is more of a preservative than anything else I can think of.

Citric acid is not vitamin C. Ascorbic acid is. It's also a preservative.

It is the acid in oranges. Enough of it is good for you, too much is bad for you. Go to a mom and pop pharmacy and ask how much citric acid should be in your diet.
