When a leader can only speak with binary, Manichean terms “good/evil, right/wrong, black/white”, “with us or against us”, when he establishes a Patriot Act consequence of same is that we can see you mutually tear between real Americans/bad Americans, traitors/ patriotic, when people think that all of the issues of the country come from the Aliens/terrorists/Middle-East/Icelam (oh this word is censored now !),
then it evokes me sadly the rise of Nazism in Germany and its good/right/white/with us/real/patriotic Aryan race and the evil/wrong/black/against us/traitors Jews.
Sorry, but I think it’s time for Americans to awake and get lesson from the History.

I don't know if you think me a Foreigner or a Neighbour? I'm Canadian and I do think the U.S.A has become somewhat of a dictatorship. As matter fact Canada doesn't
fare much better! too much legislation in the wrong places for both countries is why!

USA is becoming a single super power in this world.USA is the only police of the world.USA is the supervisor of other countries in this world.By the systemof its administration USA is impossible to be a dictatorship. But as a team between the goverment and the parliament if its majority of its members are always be as supporters of any good or bad action,it will become like a dictatorship.USA prohibits any other countries outside countries which have a veto right,to develop nuclear for peace, because USA is afraid that sometimes they will make a nuclear weapon.USA is a champion for democracy and human rights, but in a certain action USA is against with that principles.

The governmnent is slipping indeed, but into what, it's certainly not democracy. I just hope, for the sake of everyone in USA, that the people of the USA still retain the democractic mentality even when their government don't.

A fascist state without real liberty isn't exactly a "dictatorship". Look for those who run the show and you'll see there is more than one...

Yes, see Agathe's response
the real problem is that you involve the whole world with your wars and propaganda, it's not fair
we don't consider the terrorist like you do, we are not afraid of other culture or religion like you do and we are open-mind, you're not
Americans (not Indians but the colonisators who killed them all) are afraid of all. All that is unknown and all that is foreign.
You're the only country to think like you do, you're alone.
Sorry for you.
Your solution : change the system of election, make one like in france, italy and all country in Europe.
You can also vote for a democrat.
Why are the republican at the Withe House ???

As simplistic as it this sounds, watch the first triology (parts I, II, and III) of the Star Wars saga. Special effects and poor acting aside, pay special attention to the evolution of the Republic. The plot simulates what has been happening to our own government. First a democracy, then a republic, then a dictarship. Sounds quite silly, but have you ever really spoke the words of the pledge of Allegiance? (...and to the Replublic for which it stands, ONE nation, under God, indivisible...)

Chile IS NOT yet a dictature !!!!! (thank you Tanner...)
Chilean people thanks a lot US CIA to put Pinochet to the power in Chile. Thanks to him, appeared people tortured, no posibility to express opinions, no politic life.... Thank you United Sates of America, the country which wants to save the world, which is worried about liberty and peace....
Latinameric is under-developed thank to your country, your CIA and your way to always act into politic of other countries...
Maybe USA isn´t into a dictatorship, but the way Bush drives it is very similar.... He´s more worried about its interest that in other things.... And your Congres is completly corrupted by multinationals firms...
You love spend your holidays in Cuba !!!! What´s about Castro ? It wasn´t forbidded for you to travel there, for your Government???? I saw a lot of american people happy to spend his money in Habana, happy because everything was cheap, happy to meet girls....
The chaos in Irak is your fault, you have never liberated to anybody there... Now, it´s impossible for occidental people to travel there.... And European people is very happy you destabilisated all the Middle East... It´s easy for you, you´re living so far of it that american people isn´t able to put Middle East in a map.... You don´t undertand how works earth... You don´t undertand anything about religion !
We are going to see if you like expression liberty !!!! What can you reply to this ?

I would vote for a life-time benevolent dictator that really puts the interest of the people and the country first. What we have now is slavery under a system that puts big business and politicians first and if and I say if there is anything left ... lets it trickles down to the 85 % of us who are slaves to two jobs just to pay the taxes and bills.
