I took my car to a muffler shop in Ca.And removed the muffler and he made a u pipe and put two tips ..Is my car legal nd smog legal.Its a 06 accord

i guess that depends on what state you live in and what kind of car you have. here in california we don't have to smog cars over 30 years old so we can run 'em with straight pipes, no mufflers. but i couldn't go buy a new car abd cut the muffler off. kinda dumb, but that's where we're at.

no the law does not require a muffler but you do need the converter and the exhaust cant have any leaks and it must run all the way to the back of the car

Yes you have to have a muffler on your car, it is not legal to drive without one.

In many states ,as long as the noise dB's. aren't to hi . The cat has to stay in place though.
A turbo is considered a muffling device in most states.(all except 2)

yes, unless someone removed it. if your car is obnoxiously loud it may have been removed or there is a hole in it. If it is not loud you definitely have one.

i dont know about other states,but here in pa.you cant get your car inspected without one.
