Try out! I am sure other people will be as nervous as you, and trust me, it feels so good when you get a part. What do you have to lose?
And it is a great way to meet new people. You will have a ton of fun and it will be awesome, I promise!

Go for it! My acting and singing experience was very limited when I got to high school. I thought I had stage fright and that I was terrible at acting, but then in my junior year I decided to audition for our spring musical, just for fun. I was in the play's chorus, but it was still lots of fun. The next year I decided to do it again, and I got a great part! I say just have fun with the audition process. Think of it as a game. If you don't get a part, don't feel bad. It sounds like you're starting way earlier than I did, so by the time you get to high school you'll probably be brilliant. Just keep trying. Oh, you could also do both choir and plays. I did.

totally try it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been doing it all my life and it is sooooooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!! So what if ur not good @ it. Believe me, not matter how bad u r, there's always some1 else in the play that does worse than u. 1 time i was worried that i would do badly, but then i realized that there was some1 else who wasn't showing any emotion or anything, so, i felt better knowing that if some of my lines didn't sound real, his would sound worse. And, if u've been in chorus, then ur used 2 exposing part of u 2 an audience, this should b any easy transition.

Go for it. The worst that could happen is you don't make it or are put in the chorus, and that's not terrible. And, like you said, if you don't go for it you will always wonder.

Hey just go for it! it is better to regret the things you have done than the things you havent! if you get the part then obviously you are good enough to do it! trust me as you get older your self conciousness fades and you will begin to regret not doing all the things you were too scared or shy to do! seriously what is the worst that could happen?

Definitely tough it out. What's the worst that can happen? If you don't make it, you're not in the play. If you don't try out, you're not in the play! Why give yourself something to regret not trying?
