Gloria's favorite colors are pink and yellow. She has sox in those colors, of course, but she really likes gloves!
In her glove drawer, there are six pairs of pink gloves, and six pairs of yellow gloves, but the gloves are all mixed up. In complete darkness, how many gloves does Gloria have to take from the drawer in order to be sure she gets one pair? She doesn't mind whether it is a pink or yellow pair.

Say she is unlucky and the first one is pink and the second one is yellow. On her third grab, she is guaranteed to get pink or yellow; therefore, she will have a matching pair in 3 grabs.

Hm...that's a tough one! Gloria would have to pick out 3 socks. I don't have a good way of explaining it but i am 95% sure it is right. Here...I'll try to explain....if she picks out 2 socks first...and she gets a pink and a yellow...then it doesn't matter what color she picks next cause she will have a pair either way. :0) I hope i really helped you out!! :)

Say she picks a pink glove, then a yellow glove. Then it doesn't matter which one she pcks next because either way she gets a pair.
