I sure do! It co-exists in my household everyday. There is nothing in the scientific world that God ( or your higher power) has not created...including your mind which enables you to think, question.

If someone is preaching otherwise, they are preaching ignorance! Because with ignorance, people can be controled. Never stop questioning and seeking the answer.

As an example, many religious zealot's preach that evolution did not happen because it contradicts the Bible version...such hog wash to take you money in the collection plate! I believe in evolution...it's real and can be proven scientifically; and I also believe that God created it all....in six days. Just because our worldly clock may differ from God's timetable does not mean it didn't happen.

Generally, no science and religion can't co-exist.

It's hard to say whether religion and science can co-exist. There are so many views on religion and science. Some people see religion as an answer and others see science as an answer to everything. Some people are inbetween both ends of the spectrum.

The only problem that religion and science have in common is explaining how something came from nothing.

Actually they do to a degree. There have been times Science has proven Religion correct and vice versa. Example there are two stories in Bible one talks about stopping the sun the about moving sun backwards. Science has found what they call "missing day" its not quite a day but about 40 min short of a full day. This would prove Biblical story of Sun stopping. Next was when God made sun move backwards. When investigated using information in bible it comes to about 40 minutes! Which complete a full missing day!

Science and religion have been ad odds with one another throughout time. They can coexist, but it takes so long for religion to catch up! It's like the religious are afraid that if something is different than they think it is, they will loose their faith. To me, ever advance just proves how much greater God is than I thought!

Absolutely. Many of the great scientists were/are people of faith (and vice versa.) Check out this webpage, scroll down to the Science, Technology and Exploration section and read some of the great quotes from great scientists about religion. (In this case they were all Christians, but certainly many other faiths have been represented by other scientists.)

Great question? I think religion that cant survive the light of science, logic and REASON is unbelievable. Inclusion, mutual respect, and open-minded approaches are key to being an enlightened religion. Mahalo!

Religion was here long before science. I personally am a Christian and believe in the "Big Bang" theory. God spoke and bang it happened. I find it is much easier to trust God to reveal truth as he thinks we need to know it
