All it does is flash the verizon wireless sign over and over again but it won't turn on. I have tried everything that I can think of. Do you know what is wrong with it?

You might need to get a new battery. Cell phones are really bad for creating "memory". I'm not sure if you know anything about that. But basically it creates a memory of the battery life and how long it takes before you charge it again. So if you charge it again before it's low on battery...it creates a memory of that and that's bad.
Try buying a new battery for it and then only charge it when the battery gets low.
If it's covered by an insurance plan with your service provider, take it up to the store and have them check it out. They might be able to fix it or send it off to be fixed at no cost to you.

Buy a new battery or better yet get a better phone. I always thought LG phones were crappy. Get a samsung.

Get a new battery or get your cellphone checked. Especially if it's still under warranty.
