Is it the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms. What about these rooms do you want and what is a big turn-off. What one room, if in poor repair or out of date, would cause you to not buy a house.

Kitchen. B/C it is the most expensive to reno. Every other room including bathrooms do not have half the value of the kitchen.

I wouldn't really say there is one specific ROOM but there are some good things that you need. One thing is good lighting and electrical outlets!! Also just look and the stuff that you can't change...if you don't like hardly any of that stuff then why buy it cause you just have to put a bunch of money in it to change. But if you are looking for a room i would agree with "Happy to Help" and say the Kitchen!! Hope i helped you in your search for the 'perfect home!'

The deal breaker for me would be the kitchen. It is visible to all guests and gets the most use. Cabinets, flooring and new sinks could easily cost 10 to 20 thousand depending on the quality of the updating.

Kitchen. Most expensive remodel. Next in line is the bathroom. Nothing worse than old tile, fixtures. Complete turn-off unless you want to buy a fixer-upper. Then it had better be priced appropriately.

Kitchen... has to be big enough and have up to date appliances. The kitchen is important because everyone in the family uses it several times a day.

I am sorry but it is all of the above, my deal breakers are:
Bedrooms: Too small
Bathrooms and kitchen: Too small or in need of major remodeling

Traffic flow of house, even if the kitchen were brand new, if the traffic flow does NOT work with the rest of the house, it will soon rear its ugly head EVERYDAY. This is assuming that you have the location & price in line with your pocket book.

I'd have to agree with "Happy to Help." If I had to choose ONE room, it would have to be the kitchen. Other rooms can usually be updated with fresh paint and your own furniture.

There is NO room that is a deal breaker. But the location is.
