They may have a chance but I think the Reds and Cardinals are better, but they are good.

The window of opportunity seems to be closing on the Astros for this year. They aren't that far back in the wild card race, but there are so many other teams right there with better records. If they could put together a LA Dodger-like run of 16 wins in 17 games (or whatever it was), then yes they could make the playoffs. Without something like that, the Astros seem very unlikely to make the playoffs.

i'm a Mets fan, although if the Dodgers have an remarkable threat for the postseason. they only gained Brandon League and Shane Victorino earlier at latest, and that they are tied for the dep. lead with the Giants, and 3 video games lower back in the Wild Card race. If the full element is going the terrific way I choose it to in the Mets-Giants sequence, the Dodgers would be 2 video games up by Thursday. i'm no longer announcing they're going to win the dep., or make the playoffs, although if i'd located it at 60-70%. The lots dependable information superhighway internet site for odds places it at a sixty 4.3% threat.

Sorry, Houston doesnt stand a chance of making the playoffs.
The Reds might win the Central, or the wild card.
Then they beat St. Louis in the NLCS.
However, the American League team will win the World Series.

No, they won't make it. They started out poorly the previous two years, but got hot long before now. If they were going to make a move, and get hot, they would have done it by now. They can't hit, it's that simple. The only real offensive star, in his prime, is Berkman. Everyone else is getting old, or aren't having the offensive seasons that they have had before.
I'm afraid that Andy Pettitte, my favorite ex-Yank, will have the first losing season of his career. I bet he's sorry that he left NY now. Then need him, and he needs them. Oh well, he's home with his family, so maybe that will help him.

I guess there's a small chance, but it'll probably be the Reds. You never know, a lot can change in the month left of the season

THE ASTROS DONT DESERVE TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS EVER. THEY NEED TO TRADE BERKMAN AND CLEMENS BECAUSE THE REST OF THE ASTROS MAKE THEM LOOK BAD. THE ASTROS JUST SLIP IN THERE SOMEHOW.
