Yes, I think that there are many of us that are becoming addicted to Yahoo Answers. Next month, Yahoo will unveil their newest creation, Yahoo Answers Anonymous, a twelve level program where you answer questions that others ask you about your addiction to Yahoo Answers. I don't know about you, but I'm signing up now.

This question has been asked quite a few times, and I
think I have only answered once. This time I will give a
different answer but of the same impact. I am retired
and study various science fields for my son who is a
PhD University Professor and has‘nt the time to read
100 pages of research news each day, so I do it for
him to save his time! Yahoo answers is an escape valve
for me, to change the subject. I only answer and do not
ask. Answering gets the steam off quicker. Now, this is
my personal reason, however I believe that most are
hooked as a vice or competing for points. Yahoo answers
is always a challenge. It is a lot better than going to the
races or Bingo Saloons. You will notice I use my real
name, because I have no reason to hide my identity.
I am really Iain with the surname Ritchie which have
recently deleted because of Yahoo or Google search.
There are too many citations, some mine but mostly
others. Will give you a friendly hint. The Iain Ritchie
shown in both English and Portuguese, or studied in
Edinburgh, that‘s me. I enjoyed the chat, thanks.

I'm addicted too. I've been on here everyday since I first got on a few weeks ago. I'll have to put a stop to it after I reach level three. Especially since I think my answer advice sucks, I rarely get 10s anymore. I have learned alot from asking a few questions, this is a cool place.

lol See one of my previous questions.... I even emailed one of the Yahoo staff who has yet to reply.... Do you think I need to send them my Bupa bill for RSI or decline in mental health?
Yahoo really do need to address this problem, I can see great potential for litigation, especially as so many people are admitting to being addictive to it.... They have responsibilities for their action ie getting great publicity and creating interest and need to account for their success by looking after their customers.

I was but have discovered that there are some complete idiots out there that basically abuse the service or the other users on here. Not finding it so great now.

I'm barely into my second week and I check my points every time I'm on break. Sheesh. :>
But what the hey. There are far worse things to be addicted to I think.

As ever I am addicted.
But it is said that the human brain is tuned to be addicted. So do not worry as you are not the only one with this addiction.

Yes, and I only started a few days ago. Likely it's because I can actually do it at work so I have something to do while it's slow :P
