I wash my sneakers all the time if there leather i use tide laundry soap and real clorex not store brand i have a pair i've washed 4 times.

I have found that the heat from the dryer ruins the rubber on tennis shoes, also the elastic bands on bras and panties.
I don't put ANY item with rubber in it in the dryer.

No it does not hurt the. you can dry them on a dryer rack it wont hurt them but they will wear out faster because of the heat of the dryer.

some may tell you you can wash them but from experience i would not wash them.... always follow instructions... depends on what type of material they are made of... needless to say leather should not be washed but most man made materials are OK..... they will never feel that same gain if you do wash them..
