Well the whole accident was suspicious. I was just watching History's Lost and Found this morning where they were discussing the car. See the lead car and his limo were going down the road. Appearently the lead car was a little far ahead as a truck just suddenly turned into a road and hit his car. The driver braced for impact. He was appearently sideways and hit his neck on the front seat breaking his neck. He said oh it was just an accident and the army kinda quickly fixed the car and put it back in commission. They basically hid the evidence as there was almost no ivestigation, appearently at part his choice, and the quickly fixing the car. So of course people have to dream up stories as to why. It may have been planned but I doubt it.

Forget the rumors, one of greatest generals, George Patton died in a tragic automobile accident. The men who served under Patton adored him, they certainly would not have wanted to cause him harm.

Patton died in a car crash after the end of the war. There were rumors that he was killed, but not by his men. Patton made no secret that he intended to run for president, but if he had, Eisenhower might not have run. If Eisenhower hadn't, MacArthur might have run. The rumor was that Patton was killed to keep him from running, because somebody didn't want MacArthur to become president.

Yes there is truth to that, but it was his horse colluding with his mule that planned the car accident.
