While the majority of girls and women who use the birth control pill experience no side effects, some women experience side effects such as:
bleeding between periods
weight gain
nausea
breast tenderness
headaches
mood changes
blood clots (usually occur only in women over 35 who smoke)

Most of these side effects improve after 3 months on the Pill, if they don't your health care provider may prescribe a different oral contraceptive which may work better for you with less side effects.

The pill does heaps of weird stuff to your body so I would give it a few months and then if nothing has changed and your still worried go and see your doctor it may just be the brand of the pill that your taking. Don't stress to much about it.

you should be concern cause birth control pills or any birth control post to make your period lighter did you start the pills why you was on you period like you suppose to somehting is wrong you need to talk to your doc so they can give you pills that higher in hormones since your period is heavy i know you hurt with cramps but thats not good at all get that taking care of why not the patch can you have to be careful with the pills with the patch you wear it for three weeks well change it every sunday in the fourth sunday out of the month you dont wear the patch and the good thing about it the fourth week you dont wear a patch you have to wait to the homones leave your body and that takes like two day so your period will be coming on two days later say on for a couple days and when sunday comes you put your patch back on and that will knock your period back off so basically you on your period for 3 days pills i hate cause you have to take them on time and cant forget DONT WAIT TILL ITS TO LATE CUS YOU DONT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THAT HEY HE STANDS PAIN

It can take several months before you become "regular" hang in there it should level out.

if it's the second month, i wouldn't worry about it. your body is probably adjusting to it. if it goes on more than 4 more months, i'd talk to your OBGYN.
