Ever noticed, the price of Gas was ok even after 911. Then some one in the Bush's empire gave the idea for a quick collection of revenue, and hiking gas price was the only quik fix to the Bush empire. No wars are fought without the money, and now the whole nation is paying for this war, at the pumps. Next time when you do the fillup, half of your tank is giong to Iraq and Afghanistan.

The reason why prices are high is because demand is high and supply is limited. Ignore all the morons on here saying the government is greedy. They don't collect anything except taxes from the sale of it. The oil companies are recording profits because there operating cost hasn't gone up as fast as the price of the products they sell. One of the biggest problems with the increase is what actually causes it. For some stupid reason the fear factor has an effect on the price of gas. Oh my God there's going to be a hurricane let's raise the price of gas and stop the hurricane. We have been having hurricanes forever and it hasn't been until recent years that I have seen them have such an impact. Another reason for the rising gas prices is because of other growing economies in the world. China is starting to drive more cars and fewer bicycles. There are over a Billion people in China. That's a pretty serious issue and when people here in the U.S.A. are pointing fingers and not trying to solve the problem it makes us look like idiots. Believe me there are a lot of people even in OPEC that know the price is too high. But the usage of it has to be curbed somehow. Jeep has just introduced an SUV called the Compass that gets 26mpg city and 30mpg highway. They get that good because of a special type of transmission that has been around for years. It isn't a weakling either. They wouldn't be coming up with this type of product if it wasn't for the problem with the fuel prices. So in the long run maybe we will be better off. We really need to quit pointing our fingers at Bush on this one. Why is it that the American people can't solve their own problems anymore? Have we become a nation of finger pointers?

The price goes up because we're all dumb enough to keep paying and driving. If we cut back by 10% the price would go down. Where I live the price can drop by 40cents a gallon over a day and the next morning it's back up. I'm always amazed that even though this has been going on for months people still buy their gas on the way to work in the morning. Go figure.

End speculators from speculating everytime fireworks are set off in the Mideast, and take it off the commodities market.
If that doesn't work, conservation, conservation, conservation.
