Should I splurge and go buy a dwarf hamster from a pet store, or should I wait until someone wants to get rid of the dwarf hamster babies?
Becuase im afraid that the free babies will be infected. because the petstore people know how to take care of the babies, but people may not.

Um... don't they only cost like $5? Kid, hate to tell you this, but if you can't afford the hamster itself, you're not going to be able to take care of it, either.
That said, I very much doubt that pet store animals are going to be healither than random-person animals. I once had a pair of dwarf hamsters that we got from my sister's friend. Those were far friendlier than any pet store hamster I've ever met because Alex played with them from the time they were born, so they were completely used to people. And they were in perfect health.
My family had a pair of guinea pigs for a while that had several litters of babies, and I assure you the babies we gave away were always in perfect health. Then again, I come from a family that has a history of giving antibiotics to a hedgehog, so I realize that might not be the norm. But the point is that if the people giving you the hamster know what they're doing, it will probably be in good health. In fact, it will likely be in better health than a pet store hamster.
One last thing to think about: unlike full size hamsters, dwarf hamsters are reasonably social and tend to do well in pairs (not necessarily mated pairs - we had two male hamsters that did grate). If you have just one, you have to be sure to pay a lot of attention to it so it won't get too lonely.

Wait a while, and use the time to learn as much as you can about dwarf hamsters(read a book or do some online research on your own and wrote down your questions) . Talk to various pet shop owners about the care they give their hamsters, and also talk to any people you find who might be giving babies away. If any of the poeple you talk to you cannot answer the questions you ask about the care and health of the animals, or are rude to you, it's easy- don't deal with them. There are a lot of people (and this includes stores) out there who take good care of their animals are know a lot about them; all you have to do is find them. Of course, the ones who take the best care are most likely to charge, but it's worth it. Try to find a person who not only knows a lot but who also has played with the babies since they started getting fur, as they will be much friendlier. I always feel it is better to take in an animal that needs a home if you can find one, and that it is best to reward the very best breeders and owners by doing your business with them. Good luck!!

i'm uncertain why they do it yet my nephew had 4 hamsters. A momma and 3 toddlers, 2 lady and one male. The male became saved in a seperate cage so there could be not extra toddlers. approximately 8 months or so after the female toddlers have been born they attacked the mummy and ate basically her head. we are uncertain if it became a dominace ingredient or that the mummy became becoming previous and died until now they ate her head... It somewhat form of strange.

From my experience hamsters from pet shops are more likely to have things wrong with them.

Get it from PetSmart because they have all of their animals checked by a vet before they are for sale. You even have to sign papers when you buy them.
