First of all, I have a pet snake, and they dont need alot of room, so defiatly keep the snakes.

If ur ok with it now, just continue with it.

Maybe your fiance should get a prt time job to help get some money.

That might work :D

Well in response to your question, I would say that 7 snakes and a dog is too much for a one bed flat. But, each to their own. If you can manage how you are, then thats fine, and maybe your fiance could get a part time job to increase your income. If you wanted to create more space, you could keep a couple of the snakes and sell the rest, and a dog does require a lot of space, and so if you gave it to a kennels it could maybe find an owner who could meet his requirements better. Having said this, I realise how hard it would be to give up a dog, so I'm not telling you to do this...its just a suggestion. So basically, to sum it up, you could cut down on the animals to create more space, but it is entirely up to you :) xx

Whoa some of you people are mean, I own 2 dogs in a one bed flat, and it may be one bed but it's huge! and i have a front and back garden a park across the road, dogs do need a lot of excercise yes, but they do not get their excercise in the house, they sleep and eat in the house (well mine do) and from what ive just read most of the people that have allready answered this dont walk their dogs and keep them couped up all day, ask any self respecting vet and they'll say as long as the dog is well looked after, excercised and generally happpy, it doesnt matter about the size of it's home, take kennels for example, tiny!
My advice mate is lose a few snakes, they are lovely but it's easier and more humane to re-home them, a dog get's distressed when being re-homed a snake doesnt care as long it's warm and fed.

How can you afford to keep all of these animals, if you don't even make enough to move into a larger place? Definitely re-home the dog-- it is the most humane thing to do. Dogs need space that a 1-bedroom flat cannot give them.

As far as the snakes go, if they aren't adult Pythons or Boa's or any other large breed of snake, keep them, if: they are not too much of an expense for you, with the demands of providing the live food, heated enclosures, etc.; and you are both happy with them.

get rid of the dog and 6 of the snakes. your landlord could kick you out for just having a pet frog. concentrate your attention on the 1 snake. i had a pet mediterean common lizard and that took a lot of care. give the dog to the rspca or a reliable friend and the snakes to a herpatologist with room for them

A DOG IS TOO MUCH FOR A 1 BED FLAT , THE DOG NEEDS OPEN AREAS TO LIVE IN COMFORT WHICH A 1 BED FLAT CANNOT PROVIDE AND IT DEPENDS ON HOW BIG THE SNAKES WERE.

if your animals are loved cared for properly and fed properly i can't see a problem.

many people have massive places but neglect their animals.

your dog will need regular walks as you don't have much space maybe more than usual but apart from that as long as your neighbours don't complain about noise or anything. can't see what your doing wrong.

look after them well. love and care for them and it's all you can ask for in an animal keeper.
good luck (i wouldn't have anything else mind)
