Just tell her you need some space, and time away from her.

I've been through this but it was at a time when I was completely a different person and oblivious to the way I was acting. Instead I was the one being way to clingy. The best thing you can do, if she really is your best friend is to let her know that you need more space and time to be with other people. Don't say it's a break, that will totally ruin any friendship. Hopefully when you feel like you've had enough time apart, she will have already figured out the things she needs to change and things will work out for the best. =]

Try to get your friend to hang with others Introduce her to others by going shopping with someone who is like her and may hang with her also. She sounds like she is afraid of losing the only friend she may have and is smothering you, this happens also to girls between 13 and 17 some seek a bf and more girls freinds others have not grown to that depth yet and need a little help
You have a life to live and you seem to not want to hrut anyone but remember you have a life to live Do your best and it will all work out.

You have to explain that you care for them both and that you want to spend time with both of them. Your best friend should respect and support the fact that you have a boyfriend and you want to spend time with him. Your boyfriend should understand that your friend is important to you and you want to spend time with her. You can't please people no matter how hard you try. All you can do is the best that you can.
