Why cant women be fighter pilots?

they can. in fact the first pairing of a woman Pilot and RIO happened in the navy aboard a Navy F-14 Tomcat, and they saw extensive combat over Iraq and Afghanisan. they even scored an air-to-ground guns kill on a taliban truck convoy, which is a very hard thing to do. chicks rule!

During WWII, because of the severe battles all over the world. There are men shortage in US for production jobs. Women were asked to be test pilots for the military planes. They test prototypes and deliver the planes to the bases once they are done in assembly.

There is a PBS epidsode about female pilots during WWII.

I don't know if there are any reasons that there aren't any women fighter pilots today.

There is no reason why they can't be fighter pilots. There were none during the last 2 world wars because back then they thought women were second class citizens.
Nowadays only the neanderthal element think that.

PS There is quite a lot of female pilots who fly the helicopters out to the rigs as well

They should be aloud to be. In WW2, the famous female Russian fighter pilots, the Night Witches, helped win many battles.

russia had loads back in the 50's first woman in space was a russian fighter pilot. they arent too good at reversing the plane though.

there are many female fighter pilots all over the world, including pakistan ..
