How do you go about getting licensed for plumbing and/or air conditioning?

What type of schooling do you need and how would you go about getting licensed in multiple states?

You must go to the county or state licensing board and take the test. some are open book some are not

Different in different states. Some staes require an apprenticeship. Lots of schools on the net. Hands on can be cheaply attained by getting units witch have been discarded and fix them, perhaps reselling. Libraries usually have books on these areas, you know thats that building where all the hard copies are kept, usually there are helpful people there. All the info you need will be there or on the net without paying for a course. Call information and ask for the states liecencing board and they can tell you what you need after you get refered from one to another al the while asking questions until you find someone who has been there more than a year.
