My personal experience was from a Paul Simon song, where the correct lyric was "Ever since the watermelon" and I thought he sang "Elvis is a watermelon".

One of my favorite songs by Hawthorne Heights goes, "Cut my wrists and black my eyes." My friend thought it went, "Shut my fists and bite my thighs." It actually does sound like that. lol.

The Evansblue song Cold (but I'm still here), several people I know I had to correct because they thought he was saying "hello, I'm your mother will you be my gangster" when he was actually saying "hello I'm your martyr will you be my gangster."
