People always say being gay is a choice, but how do you choose to be attrated to guys.When did I choose my orrientation because I am so confused

You did not choose your orientation. Don't let anyone tell you differently. It is an innate instict, just like when straight people suddenly find the opposite sex attractive. You are not bad. You have done nothing wrong. You feelings are from deep inside you. Go with your feelings and feel good about you! It will make you a better lover for the person you yearn for the most!

Sweetie, I'm agreeing with what others have answered you with; being gay is NOT a choice, no matter how many people tell you that, please don't let yourself believe them. Now, if someone is THAT good on controlling their emotions and feelings, then yes, if they really want to, they can force themselves to be attracted to the same sex, but honestly, the only people who would do that are attention-hungry and foolish. Most gays/bis/lesbians/transgendered people like you and me are just naturally that way, just like a str8 person is naturally attracted to the opposite sex. No matter what your sexual preference is, it's not something you yourself chooses, it's what your heart feels. You never chose to be gay, and yet you are, because for some reason, you find yourself attracted to guys in a romantic/sexual way as opposed to your feelings for girls, which may just be along the lines of close friendship. I don't think ANYONE would really choose to be homosexual if they were given the choice, I know I wouldn't, and that's how I know it's NOT a choice, because hey, I am. I'm a gay teenage boy. And I'm okay with that. Would I have liked to have a heterosexual relationship, sure, I've always wanted children of my own, but is that going to happen? No, at least, not for the amount scientists are charging today. Why? Because I, like you, am simply not attracted to females in any sexual way, and thats okay. So the answer is, you DIDN'T choose to be sexually attracted to guys, you just finally opened your eyes to your true feelings, and thats that. i hope I cleared up a few things for you there darling. God made you this way in all His/Her wisdom. Just like you also may have brown eyes or blonde hair or be tall or short, thin or round. Just accept it as the gift it is. You can not choose your attractions any more than you can choose your eye or hair color. All you can do is try to cover it up if you don't like it. But at the end of the day, you will still have the hair and eye color, the height and personality you were born with. NOTHING can change that. And, so the argument goes, if you can CHOOSE your sexual orientation/affectional preference, then Hetrosexuals can choose to "go gay". Silly notion at that!!!

God made you who you are. You can't choose to be gay, and if you could why would you. I mean being gay is great, but it can be hard for us. Just know you are not alone in your confusion. I'm with you on that. It's hard discovering who we are, and ignorant people make it worse. If you are gay, just know that you are you, and it is not your fault. And it is nothing to be ashamed of.

You didn't choose, it is just inside of you and it is now comming out so to speak... People say we choose to be gay but why would you or I choose to be something that people hate. That makes no freaking sense. Just be yourself.

being gay is not a choice, it's genetic. you didn't choose to be gay, you were born that way, and that's ok. accept who you are, and have a happy life!
