Almost certainly music influences your mood.
Exceptions: People who can't remember a melody (a brain problem called "amusia.") Another exception is a person who can't force themself to pay attention to music -- a kind of attention deficit disorder of art -- to them all music is background ambiance.
Music is composed with the intent of influencing your mood, unless it has no melody. That kind of amelodic music, such as drumming and chanting, is designed for ceremony.

Yes, most definately. Thats where we get a lot of some of our most favorite popular songs. The writers or lyricist are writing from their emotions. Songs of heart break, happiness, sadness, hating, being in love, even songs of just gettin your groove on. You name it more then likely theres a story behind the song taken from personal experience and put down on paper. Even just instrumental can affect one's emotions. Ever notice how the violins tends to pull at your hear strings leaving you in a solemn mood, drums tend to reach deep down into your soul leaving you in a head banging state, while a the screeching of a great lead guitar tends makes your body want to start convusling...lol

yes. There are receptors in the brain that trigger the release of endorphins that changes the way people think and feel about their surroundings and the people around them. Angry music promotes aggressive behavior and thought patterns. This is self explanatory.
