The biggest factor is NOT using alcohol or drugs because they cause liver damage.

Any diet low in fats and sugars is good for the liver. Besides excessive alcohol, there aren't a lot of restrictions. Extra water is great for the urinary tract (includes kidneys) and GI tract but isn't really much of a bonus for the liver. There's no specific food I can mention. Just stick to a balanced diet.

For a healthy liver, try to follow a low fat diet. No fried, greasy foods. Choose a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein. Avoiding alcohol and drugs are a must, as they are metabolized in the liver.

Alcohol, drugs, prescription pills, dyed and carbonated drinks and fried foods-- avoid them! Try grilled, broiled, or steamed instead of fried and you will do your liver a favor.
