ok im going into the eigth grade..theres a new boy coming that everyone likes. I like him as more than a friend..what can i do?? ALL the girls like him. AAARRG. everyone is going to be all over him once school starts. how can i keep my man??

and we were friends..for awhile and he askde me to be in his band and stuff...so we were pretty close..

I would just keep your options open. At the 8th grade I can tell you from experience(i'm 22) there will be more and even better guys to come along. If you like this guy a lot find out if he like you back. Sounds to me if a lot of girls like him to he must be a popular guy and they usually like to keep there options open (see how many girls they can play, etc.) it's a hard game to play being a teen and I don't miss it at all. It's hard when you break up, or the guy you like doesn't like you back or give you the time of day, But remember your young and they will come and go, and when the timing is right you will find the "ONE". But for your sake I hope he likes you a lot and you guys hook-up (no sex though right?) And you can be the one making all the other girls jealous. Good luck with your new school year!

The only way you can determine if he is or will ever be your man is to approach him & tell him how u feel. If it turns out that he feels the same way then you two can build a relationship but if not at least you don't have to look surprised or have your feelings hurt when you find out he's going steady with someone else. Besides you're both still young & school's just starting maybe you should weigh out your options first.

well, I would say you need to be open & honest with him about how you feel about him...I'm not going to tell you that you're too young to have "serious feelings," but GUARD YOUR HEART CAREFULLY! Guys can be mean at all ages & it will affect you for your whole life...so just take it slow & easy & you will have a better chance of not getting hurt as bad. Also, be open with your mom about your relationships, I know it doesn't seem like an option, but I really wish I would've been because it would've saved ME a lot of heartache in middle school & high school!

I guess you can ask him to "go steady" with you before school starts. Most guys like it when a girl asks them out and stuff.
