I don't have children, but I am 13. I could watch PG movies since I was about 5. I could watch PG 13 movies when I was about 9. And I don't really watch R rated movies unless the are horrors. I usually watch PG 13 movies.

PG's don't bother me, before I let a child watch a PG-13 movie , I watch it first and if I feel that it's too much then I will not let them. A lot of P-13's have too much violence, sex, profanity and so on. They are pretty much Rated R movies. NO I would not let a kid watch a rated R movie.

My kids are all under the age of 8, so we are very careful on what we allow them to watch. Rather it's a movie we rent or take them to, or something on t.v. But even some movies that are aimed at kids, like Shriek, are P.G. and have some adult situations, though the kids don't pick up on them!
Any movies that have bad violence, cussing, nudity, anything that is meant for adults, they are absolutely not allowed to watch until they are much older.
