It depends on the brand. The most popular is the IPOD 60GB Apple which is 15,000 songs. I went to Best Buy and got mine for $400. However, you can also go on EBAY and purchase one for a lot less than that. I know because I've checked them out last week on EBAY. It's much cheaper on EBAY than going to the store. I honestly feel like a fool for paying $400...Good luck!

It depends on what kind you're wanting. I would suggest looking at www.apple.com to try to figure out what kind you want. Once you've decided that, you can look other places to find the best price. You can go somewhere like Best Buy if you are wanting to get accesories or a warranty plan with it. They generally run the same as Apple's price, but you can get a good warranty. You could also buy it from ebay. Ebay will probably be your best price, but it's hard to use if you're not familiar with how it works.

Depends, you can get a 2 gig iPod for $199; or a 30-gig for $399, or a 60-gig for $499

Zebo says less... i'm not sure of my figures, so he's probably right on that 60-gig with video. Maybe it was $399.
