Not anyone with quality! You may find that people give you more credit for having had to struggle through such a tragedy.
Good Luck!

Of course not. It's not your fault your father was an alcoholic. You can be the richest etc. person in the world and still have someone in your family that has problems. No one in this world are perfect. So don't feel bad. You are you and you know your a good person that's all what matters. And if someone does judge you for that then they are the ones to be judge because they are the ignorant ones. You are going to be fine. Don't worry!

The ones that judge you different aren't worth it. I grew up with an alcoholic father, as well. I'm 32 now, and my father is my best friend. He's just my best friend that drinks too much. He is your father, and you should not keep anything a secret. Noone's perfect. Alcoholism is a disease, and one of the hardest addictions (proven medically) to quit. So be open and honest. It will be a big burdon off your chest.

No, they won't. At least people with their head screwed on so they point straight ahead won't judge you any differently. That fear, BTW, is probably a remnant of the life you led as a child. There is a syndrome often found in adult children of alcoholics and many have emotional difficulties. I hope you don't. I was as honest as I can be.

My father was an alcoholic whom died from it. No one has judged me differently because of it.
If someone tries to make you pay for the sins of your father, they are not the friends you think they are.
Good luck!

my father IS an alcoholic, has been my whole life. I get embarrassed especially around my friends. If they judge me because of him then their not really my friends.

you're father is not you. what he did does not reflect your character and if a person you meet judges you based on your father, that isn't a person you should be friends with because that isn't a friend at all
