What's the difference between say a 200TC, 300TC and a 1000TC Egyptian Cotton Sateen bed sheets?

Primarly price. Second, it is the number of threads. The more threads, supposedly the softer the sheet. I have not found much difference in comfort after the 300tc.

the number of threads per given unit if measure, the higher the better, and egypt is where the cotton was grown which means you are sending your money to egyption farmers instead of your own country's farmer, good for Egypt not so good for where ever and since some Government, subsidizes it's cotton growers perhaps affecting your taxes in a small way. I can not tell the differance when I am asleep, and not much when I am awake
