Hi,
I want to buy something off ebay.com the item is a watch worth around £1,500.
Does anyone know how much import duty/tax/VAT they charge when it arrives in the UK? I don't trust asking the seller as they just want to sell you the item.

Thanks

a s**tload, i'm afraid. I order things from north america all the time and the duty is very hefty. last thing i ordered from the states was worth about $300. the duty was £50.
so for yours, you'll have to sell your first born!
