Jeezus people, if you would bother to research, you would know that oscars "pout". They lay on their sides when stressed out. They will snap out of it when they grow accustomed to their new enviroment. Just keep the water quality good with weekly partial waterchanges and stop feeding him feederfish. Get him on a good quality cichlid pellet. Omega One is a good brand because they use real sea food and hikari makes a good one too. By feeding feederfish you could increase the risk of Hole in the head disease and introduce parasites to the fish. Also i hope you know that a baby oscar will outgrow a 10 gallon in a measly 3 months and will need 70 gallons PER oscar.

sounds like you might be or that he has a diesease that you cant see. go get a gram positive antibacterial and put it in after a 3/4 water change. it may just be that he is feeling a little sick. what do you feed it? does he have any sores or spots or anything. what do you have for a filter. write it all down and take it with you when you go to the pet store and tell them whats going on an they can help you with a treatment.
