Wiltshire, UK used to be the home of several new crop circles each summer. If you've ever lived in Wiltshire, you'll understand that there's not much to do. In fact, much of the county is a military firing range, and the remainder is either owned by the Royal Family or the every-enlarging collection of estates owned by rock royalty who all want their country pile after the nth platinum album.

So, if you live in a place like Wiltshire, and you've nowt to do in the Winter, planning crop circles is about as much fun as it gets. Two people have been behind some of the most elaborate hoaxes, which are planned with amazing accuracy and executed in the dead of night, without torches or lights, done with the most simple of tools, including rope and little more than sticks to flatten the crop into the most amazing of designs.

Many have been hoaxes, but not all. There are some which remain genuine mysteries, completely unexplained. You have to understand Wiltshire is a very sparsely populated county and there's really not very much to do. I suspect that the pig and sheep population outnumbers the human population of the county. So, crop circles serve a useful function of actually providing something newsworthy about the county.

First of all, there is no such thing as alien-earth contact, the government likes people believe that more than other countries knowing of the newest US aircrafts. Crop circles are made by people using a revovling stick that looks like a cricket bat so yeah, that's what I know.

there's no such thing as alien that invented this crop circles, it's just that many people are trying to make up something that will make their names famous. I think some people are using some type of machine that will let them to make these crop circles.

Its hard to say. I did a lot of crop circle research in the early 90s a lot of strange things were happening when we went into the centre of them. Talking about EVP and EMF readings.

I also found out that an area I was basing my research on in the UK it was found that two people (who shall remain nameless M.W. and P.D because they are the scum of the earth) were actually making them to drum up tourist trade. Infact on of the UK newspapers actually paid them to make one at a certain location. After I found that out I lost interest and a certain area of the UK lost a lot of tourist trade. What nice people these were don't you think?

Well now it is "fashionable" many farmers create their own circles thus drawing visitors to their fields to look at the "marvel" whilst buying the farmers overpriced fruit and veg plus entrance fee. While he is laughing in Marbella.

some people with too much time and nothing better to do, flattening circle patterns in wheat feilds and messing up farmers crops and tresspassing, pretty annoying I suppose.

Its anyopnes guess., and everyone seems to have an opinion. Its either aliens, or a govt conspiracy!! The obvious reason (Kids driving jeeps around the field) is too boring. lol
