regions:which two vegetation regions have the least (almost no) plant life?

If we are talking about in the United States, then that would probably include the southwest and Alaskan regions. Southwest due to the desert conditions and extreme temperatures. Alaska would be due to the overall cold weather. Again, these are only my thoughts on the situation and not a guaranteed correct answer!!

Not counting the ice caps and mountains you would have desert and tundra
