It will make you feel better for about 3 months, but they HURT (sorry)...i've been advised the same, my iron is low too, dont go for hysterectomy unless its vital, you dont want early menopause, make sure they leave your ovaries if they DO do it, have the Dilation and curretage first and see how you fare with it...
are you sure you had colonoscopy? mine was cone biopsy, a piec of the cervix removed? A colonoscopy is for bowel?

How can you write a question without using CHECK SPELLING!!
Nothing wrong They put you out right? Remember, they filled your colon with air? it stretches it open to view the walls?
My first was in 1993 and NO sedative. It was so painful I cried and demanded a stop. The second 2003 Out cold and never any pain. So your pain is just the gas they introduced. Is your Dr a part time butcher? there is a BIG difference between a 'D & C and a hysterectomy and I don't get the connection to heavy flow (cicles) Or low (irion) iron
I'm going to suggest you find a better fish monger (Dr).
I don't think they are taking care of you.

A colonoscopy is NOT fun at all. You can expect to be a little tender and sore from it. I have had about 6 of them. <<>>> If you have to have a D&C it will be ok. As for a hysterctomy that is major surgery but I am confident you have a good surgeon and that all will be fine. As a matter of fact the reasons for mine were the same as the reasons for yours. Very heavy flow. Good luck.
