Me and my ex boyfriend was together for 2 and a half years..He is everything that I want in a boyfriend except he cheated on me and he stole money from me. We broke up for 6 months and he has really made a change for the better. He is in church now and is about to get saved, he has really changed his life around and now he is really everything I ever wanted. He apoligized to me and God for doing me wrong, He said he was a little boy and he realized that he had to grow up to be a man... Me and him are best friends also, we can talk about anything and we are so in love..Should I blame him for his past actions and not take him back.. or except the new him and try our relationship again?

My mother won't let me see him or come around because of what he did, so I feel like i'm disobeying her by seeing him or giving him a chance...

It sounds like he has some promise, however from what i see people dont typically change very much. I'd give him some time before you take him back, and keep your distance for a little bit. Let him prove himself to you, because he destroyed your trust so bad. If you do get back, try not to get too attatched right away and just be aware...if he shows signs of being a jerk again dump him immediately.

Give it some time before considering taking him back, so you can figure out of this is just an act or a real change. I have been in your situation before, unfortunatly for me my guy had manipulated me into taking him back and he returned to his sick and twisted self a week after we hooked back up. So what I'm saying is wait until he is "saved" and just watch him for a while, but for the most part "once a cheater always a cheater" and "once a theif always a theif" so if you dont totally trust his new self yet it might be better to stay friends with him
all my hopes!

Well, if you really do like him I should say you should take him back if it is in your heart. But he cheated on you and stole some money from you? That is a big no no... If he goes back to his old way don't take him back. Since you and him are best friends and you know him very well I would definitely take him back.

Everyone deserves a second chance, so I don't see why not. Make sure that YOU have forgiven him and are able to trust him or it will not work. Take it slowly, and go with your feelings. If you see old behavior popping up, don't heisitate to question it! Let him know what you will not tolerate and what the consenquences will be if it happens again.

Once a cheater, always a cheater. No matter how much he loves God. Don't take him back. Be friends with him.. but don't be his girlfriend anymore. Find someone that will respect you no matter what and doesn't need to grow up or find God to do so.

Well take him back, you can only give it a try, if it dont work then atleast you know that you can end it. As for your mother not wanting you to see him, if you really love this guy then you wouldnt let anything get in your way.

Everyone deserves a second chance but if you are going to give him another chance then do it right and forgive and forget. But I wouldn't give him a third chance.

Yes, you should. HOw do I know, you're not lying about him?
That you're not the one who cheated? NO, you should take him back. You should forgive him, regardless. You say he opoligized? Accept it!
