Should republicans pay more taxes for the war?

ABSOLUTELY!!!

I heard today on the McClauglin Group Sunday show that this war is going to cost us over 1 TRILLION dollars. They broke it down by the days but I can't remember the exact figure... it was in the millions though. I am thinking it said 7.3m per day.

I am a democrat and will gladly let only democrats pay for any social programs if none of my taxes pay for any of the Iraqi war; although, that would mean no republican is ever allowed to use any of those social programs either.

No social security, food stamps, welfare, medicare, etc.. for them. Well to be fair, only what they have already put in.

Um... if democrats were wiser and know better than they would've done what they could to prevent the stupid war from occurring. They would've stepped in when the terrorists were threatening the United States before 9-11 and taken those threats seriously. SO therefore the democrats are not any wiser than the republicans and therefore the democratic party is just as responsible for the mess that the United States is in right now.

That's a tempting line of thought! You'd have to have a referendum so as not to penalize Republicans who were against this whole debacle to be fair to them, though, there were some Republicans who had read history books and said this was going to happen. Maybe we could have a referendum of all Republicans on abortion, too, and all the ones that vote against a woman's right to choose automatically get the next unwanted baby!
