Verizon FiOS?

Does anybody know when Verizon FiOS will be available in the Los Angeles, CA area?

I just want the 5MbpsDS/2MbpsUS for $34.95/month.

TW Cable is $44.95/month for their 5MbpsDS/384KbpsUS.

If you go to the verizon web site you can input your phone number and they can tell you if that service is available in your area.

I'm out in the middle of nowhere. It will be sometime next century before I see FiOS.

Thank god for Direct TV. Cable Stinks.
