I'd like to say yes, but I really thought last year was the Colts best chance to make the SB. They came oh so close to beating the Steelers in the playoffs last year but came up short. Without James this year I think the Colts will still be very good and Peyton will put up gaudy numbers like he always has. But if the Colts do make the playoffs, I'm afraid the results will be very similar to past years. Jacksonville is going to be very hard to beat in the division and I'm picking them to win the division. The Colts really deserve a better fate, they have a quality coach and a lot of solid players. I hope I'm wrong but I think the door shut last year for the Colts SB chances.

As much as I hate to say it, the Colts aren't going anywhere NEAR a superbowl without Edge. Joe Addai has looked HORRIBLE running the ball and it's already been proven that Peyton isn't as effective a passer when the Colts can't run the ball. Besides, I don't look for a guy who has found a way to lose all his big games in the past 8 years to suddenly become 'clutch'.
I love the Colts... in fact, I bleed Colts blue... but last year was our year, not this one.

I think Peyton's O line coverage is looking waaaay better this year than last. Last season we were essentially counting on James to move the ball cause Manning's pocket was crumbling. They have stepped this up and Peyton is also 30 this year, if he will ever out grow the choke, it is now. The window may be closing but it ain't shut yet! GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!

It won't happen. I am a big Peyton Manning fan, but the guy has a knack for choking in the big games. Check his history with the Florida Gators. He could never beat them. Now they don't have the best all-around back in the league anymore. The Steelers, Ravens, or Bengals(if Carson Palmer plays) will represent the AFC.
Bad trade. Reggie Wayne was expendable. It's hard to replace a guy who consistently gives you 1500 yards a season.

I think their best chance went by the boards last year (the window of opportunity is closing fast for this team), starting out 13-0, and flaming out at home vs Pittsburgh in the playoffs. Now with the Edge gone to Arizona.....that mountain will be harder for them to climb, but I see them making the playoffs, but losing....

Not this year. No established RB. They will rely on the pass too much and Manning will choke as usual. Maybe in a year or two.

this could be their year but they will have a lack of the running game this year. manning will have to pass more so defenses will be able to focus on the passing attack more often than not. but who knows. no one expected the steelers to win it last year.
