I was hurt but not that bad. It's just that i feel like they are blowing me off. And i still have pain wear my shoulder popped out of place, and was kicked out of college because of the accident. I know i'm young but the way they were treating me was like i was stupid. I have never done this, but what do i have to lose.

YES, you need an attorney to sue for your pain, suffering and discomfort and any possible permanent injury you may have sustained (you will feel these injuries years from now, you'll see). Do NOT let any attorney that is NOT representing you give you advice! You need an attorney that specializes Personal Injury cases.

You WILL never recover as much on your own than if you get a bona fide attorney. Don't pretend to know more than a doctor or an attorney! That is bad advice.

Speak with the attorney and tell him that you do not want to get ripped off by the slew of "incidentals" they love to attach to the bill after it is all said and done... tell them that 1/3 is 1/3 and not a penny more and make sure that the contract you sign bears this... or keep searching for another lawyer. They love to cheat clients with "paperwork" "consultations" and other non-existent things they can attach to snare you and cheat you of your money.

You must find a attorney VERY soon because there are such things as filing papers of intent and these often have time limits and other constraints such as statutes of limitations... get an attorney and do it quickly. At the very least, you can also sue for what happened to your schooling and so forth.

One cannot tell from the brevity of your question. But in general terms, if you were involved in an accident that resulted in injury or death or a very significant amount of property damage, or there was signifcant damage to more than just vehicles...like a building, store, etc....and you have a very uncomfortable feeling that you may be held to blame, then it's time to think seriously about consulting with an attorney. And when the potential cost of liability in the accident (against youself) starts to exceed the cost of consulting an attorney, that's another way of measuring the possible needs.

You don't need a lawyer at all. If you are not at fault, and if the other party has insurance, you can negotiate directly with their insurance company. The lawyers you see on TV won't necessarily get you more money than you would get on your own, and very often you will walk away with less after paying them.

If you were hurt you should seek one out. If you were at fault you should seek one out. If you weren't at fault and you suffered damage to your vehicle you should seek one out. Because the situation allows attorneys to work entirely on a contingency basis, i.e., you don't pay, they take 1/3 rd, you can get some free advice, even if they don't ultimately take your case.

You don't need a attorney. Your insurance has them on staff. That is what insurance is for. Let them handle all of the legal situations.
