I sure hope so and the sooner the better too.
Just look at where we are today and we have nothing but males for presidents and as far as I'm concerned a woman just has to do awhole hell of a lot better. A woman just might not want to send anyone to war but instead want to sit with the heads of those other countries that are not getting along with anyone.
A woman wouldn't wish to send any one to their death like most of the male presidents have done and they never gave it a second thought either.
I believe that getting a smart woman for president will only worry all those males who hate the idea of a woman in office just because they don't believe a woman could handle the job. We all know that Bush isn't capable of his office by all the harm that he has caused every nation and it may never get any better because of Bush either no matter if a woman or male are put in that office.
Women think things through as where men just in with someone else's shoes and start wars just for the hell of it as a woman won't.
Now the men will have things to say against this answer and I really don't give a toot either because that will only show just how ignorant they really are.
Now let's all say this together, NO MORE MALE PRESIDENTS. Thank you.

While it would be a nice change of pace to have a female president, I don't think the world at large is quite ready for that. I really believe that we would lose more status in the eyes of other countries if this were to happen. Countries that still believe in traditional and cultural views of where women belong and don't belong would definitely have a say on the world stage. I am female, but when it comes to negotiating with countries who place females in a lower status, a female president would be a step back in that type of arena.

Yes. Most civilized countries have had a female president by now. America will too soon. It might even be as soon as 2008 with Hillary Clinton.

If we ever get a qualified candidate we will. I don't see any on the horizon though.

I hope so, so that someone is capable of having a reasonable outlook on abortion. Men have no right to say anything.
