I am in the guest room/study/gym.Orchid white walls. One large window with full length heavy drapes in ecru. There is a sofa covered in the same material as the drapes which becomes a double bed when needed. Either side of the sofa stands a maplewood press. One for videos and dvds, the other for books. On top of one there is a silver radio/cd player, silver clock, framed photograph, and some books. On the other is a white lamp with a cream shade, a photo in a pearl frame, and a black portable tv. Across the room there is a large white wardrobe and a chest of drawers. On the chest there is a furnished dolls house which I have to find a home for. In the corner next to the window is my desk and computer, and an explosion of books, papers, pens, diet coke, halfeaten apple, and tictacs. There is a beautiful large cream shaggy rug on the floor in front of the sofa but the whole thing is spoiled by the big treadmill which is plonked in the middle and beside that is an exercise cycle some weights and a gymball. I have to keep fit to keep my cardiocare people happy. Would love to see their faces if they could see me now at this hour in the morning.

The study was designed by Le Corbusier, with ornaments by faberge, lighting by Tiffany, wallpaper original William Morriss, the rare antique first editions that sit earnestly on the 30 foot Rene Mackintosh Oak bookcase are a stark contrast to the original Dada and surrealist works that are dotted with affected nonchalance around the room. The furniture - of classic Danish design adds the finishing touch to a space of rare elegance, wit and originality. So what the hell am I doing picking my nose in this sh*it hole of a back room drinking tea out of a chipped mug and wishing that those old snickers wrappers would put themselves into the overflowing waste bin?!

It's kinda murky grey with soft padded walls that are nice to the touch. I can't see the door because it's made of the same stuff as the walls. I shout and shout but the man in the white coat says I can't have any more beef broth tonight. They let me have a lap-top that I have to operate with a stick between my teeth. The floor is soft but my bed is hard so I sleep down here and when they turn off my light at 11pm (so they tell me) I can almost imagine I am atop a fluffy cloud.

I am sitting in our family room which is located adjacent to our kitchen, open kitchen.
We have vaulted ceilings probably about 20 feet high or more with a spinning celing fan.
There are stairs leading up to a second floor loft.
I am sitting on a leather coach typing this in with the tv set on ESPN News to the right of me.
Clear enough for ya?

My study is large enough to house 10 9-foot bookcases 9about 3000 books) around the walls, with a 60-inch Sony LCD HD TV at one end, and two Lazy-Boy chairs strategically placed. My computer lives in a closet, but I have two Sony monitors in the corner next to the closet. It is my favorite room.
