When people ask a question and say "10 easy points", and other people answer the question and say, "ok now give me the 10 points." Does that really work, do they really get the ten points or are they ignored? Just wondering, i see it all the time. Tell me what y'all do when this comes up. Do you give that person 10 points or has someone gotten 10 points just by saying you want them?? Does it really work??

I understand the person has to choose the best answer, I am level 3, i undertsand how this works. When asking for the points, does the question asker give the points because the person asked?? That is my question. Is that hard to understand?

No, that doesn't work. Even the silliest questioners pick someone because on the merit of cuteness of the avatar
or droleness of answer - usually in that order. Since I placed Johnnie Depp in my profile my ratings have gone through the roof - but deservedly so :o)

I pay no attention to it. Someone who asks a question can give 10 points to anyone for any reason, even give themselves the points by answering with another screen name.
It's a sophomoric advertising ploy to attract attention to the question.
It's a bad feeling to ask a question that nobody answers.

You can give the ten points to someone far more deserving than myself, who will answer your question wholeheartedly and without pleading...

Actually it sometimes DOES work - or maybe it's just the way you ask.
